Life in Solola is awesome :) Weve really worked hard this week, and Im coming to learn how to work with the people here. They are very different! Very reserved, but very funny, and very sarcastic! And they have a lot of pride for Patzun. Its cool to see that. Also it is SO cool to hear Kaqchikel in the streets! Such an interesting language. We taught a lady the other day that is very old, and speaks almost NO spanish. She kept calling us "Hermana" (the word for sister missionaries...) so that was pretty funny :) We are also teaching the familia Perez (they dont speak Kaqchikel! I dont know why) and hopefully will be able to commit them to baptism this week! Well see :)
We had interviews just a few minutes ago with President at the stake center in Patzicia--incredible! I cant remember if I told you about the chapel in Monte Maria, but they are the same style and they are so beautiful. They are rare because they actually have full inside basketball courts, but the courts outside are really cool too. The inside of the church classrooms are like little forums from universities, its cool. And they even have a plaza in the middle next to the foyers, it doesnt have a ceiling so its kind of like sitting outside. Very cool! Interviews went really well. Hes a really incredible president, and is doingamazing things with the mission!
Happy New Year! Love
